WWI German M16 Combat Helmet
This is a fine example of a German Imperial WWI M16 helmet, complete with original chinstrap and liner. The condition overall is essentially untouched, with uniform patina throughout the paint, liner system and strap. The helmet has likely seen some action, as there are twigs plugged into the airvents — a practice done on the front lines to cut down on wind noise in the helmet. The correct leather liner band shows no disturbance or sign of cleaning or removal; all rivets are intact as originally installed. A great WWI example. COA accompanies.
