This is a later style Waffen-SS Panzer M43 cap, featuring two button front closure, grey herringbone lining with size mark, and exposed cardboard underneath of the visor. The cardboard is split in the middle, likely from poor storage and given material fragility over the years. The insignia is the expected machine embroidered black wool trapezoid, zig-zag attached. While these were very widely issued based on photographic evidence, I am assuming this cap was not issued, or if so, not worn much. Overall good example of this classic late-war production, COA accompanies.
