Army Air Corps Veteran Bringback Heer Camo M40, Old Midwest Collection

$4,600.00

This outstanding example is an ET66 M40, #352, with a splendid 3 color Normandy Camouflage finish. The helmet was purchased by the collector from the family of the bringback veteran, W.F. Schulte, a B-26 Marauder pilot, whose aircraft was named “The Flying Dutchman” (this information was found on the internet after a name and rank search, based on a scrap of paper in the helmet that had the basic information written in pencil). The helmet is in outstanding condition, has a beautiful Heer adler painted around, and a strong amount of its camouflage finish remaining. The liner and strap show moderate service wear and age, and are untouched as brought back. A stellar piece for the collection. COA accompanies.
