Presented here is a very elegant, superb quality Heer general’s bergmütze in fine quality gabardine, with gold piping and characteristic full sweatband in the silk-lined interior. The eagle and roundel insignia are professionally period handnd applied, as is the metal edelweiss insignia for mountain troops, which is affixed to the left side. The name “Heine” is written in the front interior on the sweatband. I have not previously seen an original example of one of these, and this is therefore a very special offering. COA accompanies.
