Excellent Heer Double Decal Transitional Helmet

This is a very fine condition, specific example of the Austrian M16 helmet conversion to double decal Army parade helmet. These helmets for some reason we’re gathered in large lots and upgraded with M40 type liners, and usually M40 rough texture finish liner retaining pins. This one appears to have maintained its earlier style pins but does have the upgraded liner. All examples I have observed retain the double decal application technique of the earlier style, with heavy lacquer bleeding over the edges widely. The paint is also the classic feldgrau smooth pre-war finish. Overall a very fine example for the German Helmet collection. COA accompanies.
