Factory Produced Luftwaffe M35 Single Decal

This is an excellent example of a large size Quist produced Luftwaffe M35 that was produced in single decal. There is no evidence of ever having had a national Shield and helmet shows service use in this configuration. The blond-ish liner is the M40 type, and the chinstrap is absent. The paint, rather than being the parade style finish, seems more like the color that is normally used with the rough texture finish. In this sense the helmet is a bit of a rarity, as a possible example of the transition between the M35 and the M40 production at Quist. The helmet shows service use, has a nice patina to the finish, with full decal (which is the eagle with ‘the dot’ variety). There are some mild rumples to the top of the shell. Overall the finish and condition are excellent. COA accompanies.
