This is a stunning Waffenrock, piped in white for an infantry NCO of the 2nd Machinegun Battalion. It is a tailor-made piece, with embroidered ‘MG’ and ‘2’ ciphers on the shoulder boards. It bears the ‘Geprüft’ stamp to the unit on the left inner side of the tunic. The condition is overall excellent. A Machinegun battalion is a rare unit, as the MG units were disbanded after the French campaign and parceled out to the Infantry divisions. COA accompanies.
