Highly Unusual and Rare, Camo M42 Foreign Polizei Helmet

This helmet is an EF64 M42 with a heat lot number in the 28xx series (28?7). The helmet has an area of dark grey-green camouflage, contrasted with the factory issue finish. The liner is intact, with about 1/4 separated due to blood stain deterioration. The full chinstrap is present. The unusual aspect of this helmet is the set of artfully hand-rendered Polizei and mobile swastika shields. Both show every sign of period application, and likely represent one of the eastern peoples’ type of repurposed helmets. Items like this are rarely encountered, and are highly prized by helmet collectors. COA accompanies.
