Killer DAK or Southern Front M35 Heer
$6,850.00
These do not come out for sale often, and this example is just great. The helmet is ET66 M35, #R (mid 1935 manufacture), with an upgraded double ply liner dated 1939 that is completely untouched original to the helmet. The finish overall shows a thickly applied layer of tan camouflage, with the adler decal left in the open, with some paint encroachment on the leading edge. This finish shows a lot of sun wear, as does the underlying feldgrau, which is very sun darkened. The liner and strap show service wear commensurate to a harsh subtropical climate, such as north Africa and Sicily / Italy. There is no capture information available on this piece, but the forensics indicate this is a truly remarkable example of a Heer DAK, with possible subsequent southern front use. A capstone piece, from a very famous long-time collection, ready for its new owner. COA accompanies.
