Late War Camouflage Helmet, M-18 !
$2,750.00
Not commonly seen is this great example of the late World War II use of leftover stocks of WWI transitional helmets, that had initially been refurbished around 1940 and given double decals at that time– as well as the m40 style liner. (That’s a different topic for a different time); but that is not the ultimate fate of this helmet. It was pulled out of stocks and given a new role as a camouflage combat helmet late in the war. The camouflage finish is three color, spray- applied, and fairly intact throughout with the exception of a patina area at the top of the helmet. This is shown in the pictures. The helmet is a BF 64 shell, produced during World War I by Germany. The liner is a M40 style as mentioned, and shows some dryness / shrinkage, but is fully intact and nice. The chin strap, which is also original to the refurb, is in great shape as well. A chance to own an unusual and very sharp looking example of this type camo helmet. COA accompanies.
