Leutnant der Infanterie, “Feldherrnhalle” Tunic
$3,350.00
Sharp example of a Feldherrnhalle Lieutenant tunic of infantry (the rank listed on his nametag is Oberf — “Oberfänrich”- an officer candidate one step under lieutenant.) The body material is midwar Italian gabardine, nicely tailored as a kleiderkasse type tunic, with French cuffs and droop collar. The iconic Feldherrnhalle cuff title decorates the left sleeve. The shoulder boards, for the rank of lieutenant, bear the ciphers of the Feldherrnhalle emblem. Of note, Feldherrnhalle was formed out of many former members of the SA organization throughout Germany, plus the reorganized 60th Infantry division. They were nearly annihilated in Soviet Russia and finished out the war in the battle of Budapest. Overall, an untouched, excellent piece, named and from an exceptionally historic unit of the Wehrmacht. COA accompanies.
