Outstanding Heer DAK Single Decal M35

$2,650.00

This helmet recently came out of the woodwork locally in Florida and is an outstanding piece. The helmet is a Size 62 M35, likely ET, but no markings are visible through the finish. The rivets are ET style in appearance. The finish is the correct pinkish desert tan on top of rough texture feldgrau, with the Heer adler painted around. The pictures show these outstanding telltale features. Interestingly, the front two liner retaining rivets appear to have been field replacements, likely due to the pins shearing from heavy use– this is noted in historic references as a fault which existed with the pins in some of the M35 helmets not being of strong enough material. In this case, the were done somewhat professionally in the field, possibly by the armorer, and both rivet heads have remnants of the camo paint on them– a very cool feature. The liner and full length, complete strap are untouched condition as found at the garage sale, still with the cobwebs and other dusty material throughout. There is no damage other than some dryness and age patina, pictures tell the story on this great, untouched DAK combat example. COA accompanies.
