Outstanding Heer Enlisted M42-M43 Conversion Cap

This cap is very well service used and has that “been there” look. The cap is in floppy condition, having been folded and tucked into the tunic every time the helmet was necessary to wear. The patina of the overall piece is exquisite, and the T-sewn insignia show never having been tampered with. The underneath view shows reinforced stitching on the edge of the brim where they attached the brim to what was originally an M42 cap. This practice was widespread with the M42 caps that were obsolete by then. Overall a very sharp, combat worn piece, worthy of the best combat display. COA accompanies.
