Outstanding, Rare, 1933 AH Architectural Sketch

$18,500.00

This pencil sketch was rendered by Adolf Hitler in 1933 during his discussions with Albert Speer on what the “Volkshalle” or “Peoples’ Hall” in Berlin should look like. It is an interior view, looking down the long, majestic building (which was ultimately never built). The sketch is well known and according to the consignor is being featured in the late Stephen Pastore’s upcoming book on AH art. The provenance of the piece is quite interesting, with a signed 1949 document of receipt of purchase by the owner from the wife of Rudolf Hess, Ilse. A truly remarkable piece of history, framed and well documented. The drawing measures approx. 9” by 10.5.”  COA accompanies.
