M40 Heer single decal helmet by EF size 64, batch number 21?97. Helmet has a nice combat service worn look, but is still solid in appearance and complete with nice liner. Helmet also retains nearly all of Adler decal, and opposite side shows evidence of a past unknown period decal. The EF manufacturer product was characterized occasionally by mixed parts, poor lacquer quality for decal mounting, and other such features. This helmet shows basic failure of the lacquer on the adler decal, causing it to craze completely and create a foggy appearance. The scraped decal on the right is a national shield- suggesting late M35 / early M40 production. The liner is a full-on M40 type. An interesting and nice looking helmet. COA accompanies.
