This outstanding helmet was in some ways protected by its cover, and in some ways impacted by its cover. But certainly the cover kept the decal in very fine shape, and it is a classic Quist. There are swatches of cloth located throughout the helmet that can be seen in the pictures of the surface. So the cover stayed on the helmet the entire time it was buried in the bunker. This is a great artifact and would grace any combat collection, COA accompanies.
