Rare official 1934 Mercedes-Benz race scrapbook for the 2000 KM Across Germany endurance race 21. – 27. June 1934. The grouping includes a Daimler-Benz 25 Years Long Service award document given to gold winner Hermann Binnig in 1952. The album includes 60 original black-and-white photographs of the Daimler-Benz team in the race, photos showcasing the Daimler-Benz team, the cars used by Benz in the race, SA members, and Hermann Binnig one of the gold winners, a copy of the driver list and program for the race, Auto Union program, rider team list with cars used, two issues of Motor und Sport from 1934, and newspaper articles. In the back of the book is a poster displaying the different medals won by the Benz team in the 1934 event, one medal count snipe on the poster correcting a medal count received. 24 x 33 inches. With a 2-page letter from Daimler-Benz, on the official Daimler-Benz letterhead, explaining members of the event based on their records, dated 8.12.1969. Most items affixed the pages. The album is embossed on the cover ‘Mercedes-Benz Siegt! 2000 KM Durch Deutschland 21.-27. Juli 1934.’ 17 x 13.25 inches total. These were apparently presented only to participants. Rare album!
