Service Worn Heer Double Decal Camo M35, Name Tag Sewn In
$2,850.00
This is a killer example of a one-color early style camo, consisting of a Heer Double Decal M35, SE64, #3547. The helmet retains its untouched, heavily used liner and strap, with the soldier’s clothing tag sewn in on the underside of the liner. At first glance, the stitching was nearly invisible in the darkness of the liner and was almost missed. The inscription appears to read “Walter, Alfred,” with the unit obscured or inked out. The helmet features the factory apple green SE finish, with a high percentage of Heer and National shields. Over the top of this finish was hand applied a dark feldgrau camo finish, very thick, creating a rough, lumpy texture that was no doubt an effective camouflage. The decals were dabbed lightly with the brush, subduing them, but not fully obscuring them. A close look at the pictures will show these details–they are not uncovered. A great earlier war camo example of a sharp Heer M35, with research potential. COA accompanies.
