This is an ultra-rare “Hermann Von Salza” SS cufftitle. HvS was the grandmaster of the order of Teutonic knights in the Holy Roman Empire. During World War 2, the Waffen-SS formed SS-Panzer Abteilung 11 “Hermann von Salza”, of the 11. SS-Freiwilligen-Panzergrenadier-Division “Nordland.” They were formed in Croatia and equipped and trained and manned with all nordic volunteers and a few Romanian and fins among the infantry regiments. This SS-panzer regiment fought in the Leningrad area and then in the Kurland pocket, after which the remnants evacuated by ship from Latvia. The cufftitle is mint, full length and uncut, and bears the “Bevo wuppertal” logo on one end. A premier artifact of Waffen-SS panzer regalia, and one of the rarest pieces of SS insignia possible, for the advanced collection. COA accompanies.
