Striking 9th SS Pz Div “Hohenstaufen” Wrap, **Delich COA**
$29,600.00
Words probably do not adequately describe the quality, rarity and history of this SS Panzer Officer’s Wrapper, recently purchased along with other items from a high-quality collection. It consists of a larger size enlisted SS factory issue base wrap, with the upgrading / re-adjustment of insignia to “officer,” as was the case with many of the wraps used by officers. This wrapper is moderately service worn, free from tears or damage. The badging consists of officer piping to the collar; textbook matching later war aluminum embroidered tabs, machine applied. The flatwire sleeve eagle is also machine applied; the BeVo cufftitle being hand-applied. The boards are fine examples of slip-on later quality, showing the same wear as all of the insignia; piped in pink for panzer and featuring a single gilt pip for Obersturmführer, and the number “9” ciphers for 9th SS-Panzer Regiment, 9th SS-Panzer Division “Hohenstaufen.” A huge bonus is the tank destruction strip machine applied to the right sleeve, showing the exact patina as the rest of the piece, and on it from the beginning. This fine piece was authenticated by the late Mr. David Delich, whose letter accompanies the purchase. A chance to own a premier untouched SS Panzer wrapper that would be the centerpiece of any collection. Double COAs accompany.
