This is a fine, beautiful condition, moderately service used FJ helmet, featuring slotted aluminum rivets and the earlier ET dark-green schifergrau finish, indicating likely 1943 manufacture. All of this is accented with– by every indication–an originally installed net! The net shows use and patina, and flatness throughout the dome area, indicating it has been worn in continuous service use. The pictures show these features in detail. The liner and straps are untouched and beautiful lightly worn condition; the net attachments are correctly installed up inside the helmet, with no sign of modern adjustment. The unmistakable, undisturbed patina and grime in the tight areas illustrate this. The liner is light golden, with moderate service use. The pads show patina and age, and the internal chinstrap retaining rivets show untouched patina. It doesn’t get much better than this for a combat FJ helmet, and it will be an instant centerpiece to the advanced collection. COA accompanies.
