This is a beautiful, service used SS-Untersturmführer of Gebirgstruppen wind jacket, created from a combination of Italian camo and German Grünmeliert material. The coat features Italian ‘woven’ buttons, a period applied Gebirgs emblem on the right sleeve, and SS-Ustuf. slip on boards, green piped for mountain troops. This type of jacket was worn by SS leaders and troops in the Gebirgsjäger and Karstjäger units, who mercilessly chased the partisan organizations who operated from near-inaccessible mountain hideouts.
