Stunning Pink Tan DAK and Southern Front M35 Heer
$4,900.00
This is a great Q68 M35 Heer, #47?, showing medium service wear and the wearer’s name. The liner is dated 1937, with a later dated chinstrap (that happened a lot in the period). The name “Braünle” is nicely painted in the rear skirt. The helmet is camouflaged in a pink tan base, very characteristic of the Deutsche Afrika Korps. (The pictures slightly fall short of depicting the pinkness, but it is pink). It appears to have been worn in this camo scheme for a period of time, after which some lightly-applied grass green sprays were added to complete the design. This conforms with examples of continued southern front usage, such as Sicily and Italy. The helmet overall is a great example, in size, condition and completeness of remaining camo. Definitely a top shelf helmet. COA accompanies.
