(SRL) Ultra Rare Double Decal M38 FJ Helmet

This is an outstanding and rare M38 FJ helmet by ET, shell size 71, heat lot #4199. The helmet features the early “pea green” feldgrau smooth finish, with moderate to heavy wear to the outside. The double Luftwaffe adler and national shield are present, at 80% complete. The liner retaining lugs are the early spanner type. The liner system features the desirable early yellow rubber padding, which has aged to its typical wafer-like consistency. The leather itself is in very good condition, supple but showing darkening to the leather. All markings are present and visible. At some point, the straps have been removed. This type of helmet in any condition is a rarity to encounter, and this example has a lot of strong display appeal. For the top FJ collection. COA accompanies.
