This is an outstanding example of an SS helmet cover, oakleaf pattern, showing correct original WWII stitching techniques and construction. The clips have the slight rose tone and show light, correct wear. The spring tabs are tucked and sewn instead of raw clipped off, and the front edge shows a soldier repair to the worn-through 2 inch area along the rim. Both sides show good vivid color and there are no holes or rips. A great example in very good condition. COA accompanies.
