Waffen-SS Helmet, “HJ” or Hohenstaufen

$3,000.00

This helmet was found in Mondeville, Normandy, recovered during roadwork on the street Rue Emile Zola in 1971.  The helmet is a Q M40, and is named on the inner rim, “Otto Mei..” the last letters are hard to see. Definitely something to research. Possibly belonging to a soldier in the 12th SS “Hitler Jugend” Div, or 9SSpz “Hohenstaufen” as they were both in that area during the battle for Caen. The helmet is untouched and not cleaned. From one of the world’s most advanced collections, COA accompanies.
