This is a sharp example of a Waffen-SS NCO’s visor cap, probably later war production based on the grey interior with pressed-paper sweatband. While the outside of the cap is stunning, retains a great shape, and is adorned with nice Overhoff insignia and a Heer style chinstrap — the interior front half shows the ravages of pomade hair dressing when in contact with this ersatz type of material. The rear half is relatively fine, with full sweat shield and intact paper sweatband. Otherwise, the cap is untouched, the insignia appear period applied. Overall a great example for the SS NCO display. COA accompanies.
