Excellent Waffen-SS Panzer Officer’s M43 Cap

This cap is a service used example of a Waffen SS officer’s m43 Panzer cap. It’s approximately size 57 to 58, the marking in the lining is not clear. The cap is made of the expected mid-war quality black wool, with partial buckram trim under the flaps. This cap has been modified by the user, who cut the closure scallop, removed the buttons, and replace them with visor cap rivets. The brass of the rivets has oxidized against the front of the cap, through sweat over time. The Insignia are machine zigzag applied; skull to the front, eagle to the left side. The black polished cotton lining shows use and where including some very slight tethering at the brow inside. The crown of the cap is factory piped in aluminum wire, with the correct bullnose join. The cap is an excellent example, perfect for the SS panzer display. COA accompanies.
