This beautiful example is from the Ron Wolin collection. Ron had an eye for items of heraldry from not only the 3rd Reich period, but also the Kaiser Wilhelm period of Imperial Germany. Of the many steins and ornaments, this one stands out as a great example of German ceramic functional art. This is a Bavarian cavalry regimental stein, marking the period 1897 – 1900, adorned with a mounted chevalier, edged in blue and gold trim, with an ornate pewter topper. A mounted lancer figure on his galloping horse adorns the top of the lid. A great display and conversation piece.
