This wrap is an excellent example of a mid-war quality product, featuring a higher quality black wool material, with grey rayon imitation silk lining, well size marked. The reinforcing buckram in the interior shoulder area is the exact type found in original garments of the period. The garment has had original RZM quality insignia tastefully re-positioned to it, not stitched down, leaving the original stitch marks of wartime insignia still discernable. And now for the good part: this wrap and tabs were obtained by the owner, a well-known UK collector, from the nephew of a UK veteran. Original SS Wrappers are in great demand by collectors. Under the circumstances, this example would be top shelf in the collection. COA accompanies. Please note: in hand, this garment presents as original in every way. It was consigned to this website by the original owner, who obtained it back after he sold it and it changed hands several times. The wrap is innocent of any wrongdoing.
