This is a stunning, lightly service used SS-Totenkopf officer’s four pocket tunic for infantry, it bears the number “1” on the shoulder boards, standing for 1st SS-TK Standarte ,,Oberbayern.” The tunic, from a long time US private collection, features the mid-war quality wool, French cuffs and fully imitation silk- lined interior, with dagger hanger, commonly issued at the clothing counter for officers who wanted a tailored tunic at less cost than a regular tailor. Overall, a very nice piece, featuring beautifully hand embroidered bullion, totenkopf collar tab, matching rank tab, and beautiful sleeve. The eagle is perfectly sewn on, not re-applied.
