Killer Japanese Navy Type 90, Aleutians Veteran Bringback

This Typ90 IJN was reportedly brought back by PVT. Robert C. Lewis (Bates County, Mo. 18.09.18 – Amsterdam, Mo. 26.05.03) serving in the Aleutians with 203rd Coast Artillery Regiment (Anti-Aircraft) Missouri NG.

The helmet is a textbook IJN, large size, posterior X – stitching, named on the liner, number 17216 painted on the dome. The liner itself is damaged and blood stained and the partial chinstrap show the damages of blood soaked textiles. This helmet is from a KIA or wounded japanese soldier named Furuhashi or Furubashi (Oldbridge).
