This is an excellent example of an EF64 M40 Luftwaffe helmet, #988, featuring near 100% finish and decal. The size 57 liner is in excellent condition, reflecting only light service wear and age. The chinstrap is fully intact and correct. The Luft adler shows the classic EF application characteristic of using a lacquer that adds a slight amber hue to the overall appearance of the decal. The helmet has an original WWII German issue net, which is commensurate to the age and condition. The collector reports these came together and were assessed to have been together since the war. Priced very reasonably all things considered. COA accompanies.
