This is a fine SE66 (# batch number not visible) Luftwaffe M35 camouflage helmet, displaying a thick, multi-color, hand-applied camouflage, atop the helmet’s reissue finish. The color scheme resembles clay, and blends extremely well with colors in a rocky area. The Luftwaffe decal is only slightly visible via some cracking along the wing, changing the texture of the camo paint slightly, which tells the viewer it is under a thick layer– but still there. The size 58 marked liner is in excellent condition, as is the chin strap, which is also well marked and dated 1940. That’s the vintage of the re finish and reinstallation of the 1940 style liner during the reissue process. A real beautiful top shelf camo helmet, from one of the most discriminating collections, coa accompanies. ( Apologies — will have a full liner shot and other liner photos first thing tomorrow.
