SS-Totenkopf Untersturmführer Combat Tunic

$19,500.00

This is a beautiful original example of an early war SS-Ustuf of 1st TV Regiment ,,Oberbayern” tunic. The jacket itself consists of an uber rare 1935 dated Heer cut tunic, showing its characteristic lining style, with the addition of french cuffs and a droop tail collar, commonly seen worn by officers for field operations. The collar tabs are an exquisite matching pair, the skull being the early enlisted pattern totenkopf, piped for an officer upgrade. There are various photos of TK officers wearing their enlisted insignia for field ops. The boards are untouched sew-ins, with rayon cord white piping that has turned an ivory tone with age. The ciphers are “1” for the famous Standarte ,,Oberbayern.” The sleeve eagle is machine applied, and the pattern is an SS-VT later design, just prior to the common RZM pattern coming out. The buttonhole has an EK2 ribbon affixed. There are a few moth hits, mostly in the back, otherwise the tunic is in solid, service worn condition. This piece comes from an advanced collection and all history of the piece available will be provided to the new owner. COA accompanies.
