Waffen-SS M35 ET66 Camouflage Helmet

This fine Camo SS specimen is an ET66 M35, Heat lot number #4631 compatible with SS in the Ice reference. The helmet started out as a factory finish Double decal M35 with golden tan liner. And in this case, the soldier affixed an M31 style carbine clip Chin strap, which has been on the helmet forever, and has some camo overspray visible in the pictures. The special snap attachment of this strap also has worn a corresponding area in the inner flap of the helmet, which is also visible in the pictures. The camouflage scheme is on top of a rough texture reissue scheme, which when applied would have necessitated removal of the party shield, and that is evident under the camo paint that the party shield had been removed. The SS Runic shield is apparently intact under these finishes. The outermost finish in my view is a classic Normandy camo, whereby the SS used a lot of red and green in their camo schemes. A one-look, beauty that would grace any camo collection. COA accompanies.
