This cap is a classic earlier war officer visor, constructed with the expected lindesamt quality velvet band, imitation cream-colored silk lining, and a more field quality feldgrau wool top. The cap shows moderate service wear overall, with a zinc Overhoff skull and a political eagle replacing the SS eagle. This eagle is sometimes seen in photographs, being worn by SS officers in field situations. A fine looker, great for the combat officer display. COA accompanies.
