Outstanding SS-Sicherheitsdienst (SD) Tunic, Vet Bringback

This SD tunic is a great example of SS textile / manufacturing, in that it is styled after the SS-M37 type tunic, with full lining and M37 style size and maker marking. The boards are early sewn-in type piped for SD–and very high quality. The tabs are hand applied with the same thread that the sleeve eagle (and SD diamond) had been hand applied with, prior to their removal (likely by the veteran). The consignor reports that he direct purchased the tunic and other items from the grandson of Houston area US Army veteran Dr. Captain J. Lewis of the 3rd Army. The tunic is free from holes or damage, and shows fine, gentle age toning patina. A great piece for keeping as is or pairing with a used sleeve eagle and raute. COA accompanies.
