This is a beautiful M-40 EF64 three color Normandy camo scheme, with partly visible heer shield and a couple of small shrapnel strikes, one which penetrated the skull portion of the helmet and into the inside. Aside from these battle mars, the helmet is in very nice condition overall, with most of the camo paint intact. A bonus to this scheme also is also the ghost of chicken wire, the basket of which has been removed very long ago– most likely period removal due to the fade and patina of the wire impression. This is a killer camo example from one of the best European collections, COA accompanies.
