Combat Worn Waffen-SS M35 Double Decal Helmet

This is a very sharp, service used Waffen-SS double decal M 35 by Quist, size 64, heat lot number 3233, with classic Q pattern Runic and party Shields. The paint is the 1939 darker slate Gray green finish. The liner is dark brown from sweat, but is fully pliable and serviceable, with the owner’s initials inked in the rear. The chinstrap was treated at some point and has deteriorated, but still bears the date and maker mark. The rivets heads have lost their paint, but the main finish of the helmet is quite nice and well over 90% intact. The decals show normal wear from sun, weather and elements, but are vivid and retain their full size. The party shield appears to have had another party shield placed atop it that has heavily crazed, but still presents beautifully and over 90 percent present. A fine, hard to get SS example!
