This is a service used, salty heer Panzer Beret, one of the more rare items of field gear in the German inventory. The interior helmet shows a lot of use but is almost fully intact, with just a couple of openings in the coated fabric top– one showing the straw batting on the inside of the interior helmet. There are 2 rubber vent lugs missing. But overall, the helmet maintains the integrity of its shape and solidity. The top cover has its original insignia, showing some fading commensurate with the weathering of the wool. Held up to the light, the wool shows the correct spiral weave that it should have. Again, a rare item, a must have for the early army panzer collection and display. COA accompanies.
