Japanese Type 90 army helmet. Helmet features tan paint finish and is complete with liner and chinstraps. The interior shows many locations on the liner pads and chinstraps of what appears dark sporadic staining likely blood from a head wound which would be indicative of a likely KIA battlefield pick up. While the liner is not firm in place because of tear on leather band, it can maintain position by keeping it correctly in place using interior attachments. The seller stated this was a vet purchase in the late 60s from a marine from Guadalcanal, but the name of veteran was unfortunately not recorded. A fine combat used helmet from Pacific Theatre for consideration. COA accompanies.
