This document is a typed circular, Rundschreiben Nr. 2/42, issued by the Führer der Sportgemeinschaft-SS e.V., Zentralfuehrung, Berlin C 2, Neue Friedrichstrasse 49, dated 17 February 1942. It is addressed to all leaders of the SS sports associations, with copies to the Reichsjugendführung and the Inspekteur fur die Nationalpolitischen Erziehungsanstalten. The subject is the founding of youth departments within the SS sports associations.
The text reports an agreement with Reichsjugendführer Axmann that the SS and police sports associations will run their own youth departments, following the guidelines agreed between the NSRL and the Hitler Youth. Leaders are told to contact their local HJ leadership without delay, to point to the Reichsjugendführer’s letter of 26 January 1942 if they meet obstacles, and to submit a first full report on the youth departments by 1 April 1942. The text is typed on both sides of the sheet and closes “In Vertretung” above what appears to be an ink signature. The front carries handwritten office annotations in red and black, including “Erledigt” with a date. COA accompanies.
