This is just a killer, exceptionally rare SS-VT M35 Double Decal Helmet by Quist, size 62, batch number 332. As an early issue helmet to the SS, it shows the factory finish 2 layers underneath and on the inside dome, with the outermost finish, being the special Gray VT color on top of the black layer, that had been used for parade in black uniform, and possibly the 1939 party rally wherein all SS were ordered to show up in black uniform muster. The liner shows wear commensurate to the outside of the helmet, demonstrating a medium to a high degree of combat usage, exposing the different layers of paint in a very graceful way. The decals are pochers on top of Quist pattern and are in nice condition considering the amount of use this helmet has seen. A top-level display piece for the SS-VT ensemble. COA accompanies.
