Offered is a Waffen-SS enlisted man’s visor cap featuring a field-gray wool body, black velvet-style cap band, and white Waffenfarbe piping. The cap is fitted with a silver-finished Overhoff & Cie Totenkopf skull and a Fricke eagle, both described as zinc construction with an original silver wash, complete with all prongs.
The cap retains its black visor, and original SS-style black chinstrap. The field-gray wool exterior displays an even appearance, while the visor and chinstrap exhibit surface wear consistent with age and handling.
The skull and eagle insignia display an aged appearance, with visible wear and patina consistent with the visor’s appearance. It was a perfect set to restore back to visor. The overall presentation of this Waffen SS visor is an excellent example for SS or headgear collector. COA accompanies.
