This is an excellent Waffen-SS M43 cap, with the desirable machine embroidered trapezoid insignia. The field Gray wool is the later war rough type, with a herringbone lining. The cap is a large size and shows moderate service use. There is one replaced button on the bottom of the front flap closure. It is not very noticeable, and it is not clear when it might have been done. Overall, an excellent hat, great appearance, would go nicely with a late war SS display. COA accompanies.
