M35 helmet by ET size 66, batch number 4582. Helmet features rough overpaint with Adler decal peeking through the paint finish. The helmet shows what appears to be a bullet strike and the inscription “FRANCE 44” indicating likely a souvenir taken after the Normandy invasion. The inscription was done after the strike to helmet as the letters show faded on the bare metal which did not take as well as the overpaint section. The helmet shows another inscription “TO BILL FROM JIGGS” indicating a gift from US veteran. Helmet is equipped with orignal untouched liner, showing fragmentation damage but is in otherwise good condition. Interesting helmet in a perfect display size. COA accompanies.
