This is a great big size 70 police M42, CKL70, #2470. So helmet is reportedly an Anzio bring back, and as indicated in the liner inscriptions, that is the case. The inscriptions also include notes to friends, possibly a girlfriend. Overall, the helmet shows service use with some light scuffing to the decals and light wear to the paint. The paint, liner, strap, and decals overall are about 90% condition, which is a high degree of condition for a (rare) helmet this size. Overall, a great piece for the police collection, and also for the collection that features helmets of larger sizes. COA accompanies.
